Introducing the TX1:

artiNNet's TX1 is the world’s first ISO-compliant, on-board, self-authenticating fingerprint card solution that does not require external control devices or rechargeable batteries. The TX1 is powered by a built-in, non-rechargable microbattery that is expected to last for 2-3 years of normal use. The card is thin, tough, and flexible, just like a regular credit card.

Simply touch the card's sensor to instantly unlock it. The card can then be used like any regular card, utilizing all existing smart card and magstripe card-reading infrastructures.

artiNNet's solution is nothing short of a complete technology breakthough. In short, it is now technically and economically viable to include biometric authentication on almost any card product. By using on-card biometric verification, security is tremendously increased, but without any of the privacy issues that have previously caused concern:
  • The cardholder’s personal biometric data or privacy is never at risk
    because the biometric data never leaves the card.
